Ripe mulberry, blueberry and white pepper on the nose with layers of ripe berry fruit and spiciness on the palate. Big structured wine with juicy mid palate and elegant but firm tannins on the finish.

Can be enjoyed with rich casseroles or hearty stews.

in the vineyard : Vineyards from both our Stellenbosch and Franschhoek properties. Granite gravels with underlying layers of clay on the Stellenboch estate with well drained granite and sandstone soils in Franschhoek.

in the cellar : Hand picked at optimum ripeness and fermented in varying methods of punch down, submerged cap and aerated pump overs for optimum structure and complexity. Barrel matured in 1st – 3rd fill barrels for 15 months. (80% French and 20% American oak)
