Nose: Explosive and welcoming red berry fruit on entry. Layered with honey comb flavours. Delicate touches of herbs and spice can be detected.
Palate: Ideal light and crispy. Lingering aftertaste with easy accessibility, expressing the Merlot fruit characteristic in a light, dry Rosé style.

in the vineyard : The Merlot vineyards have a (warmer) north facing aspect, and are 315m above sea level. Planted with a vine spacing of 2.5m x 1.5m, in dark clay graded sediment soils with good water retention capacity, well drained. The first Merlot vineyards were planted in 2007.

in the cellar : The juice was allowed 2 - 4 hours of skin contact, followed by pressing and overnight settling of juice. Cold fermentation with the aid of selected yeast strains.
