Michelangelo International Wine Award 2002 - Silver
Sauvignon Blanc is the most challenging white grape variety - it is unforgiving and intensely rewarding. The 2002 Nederburg Sauvignon Blanc is made in a powerful New World-style, offering a broad spectrum of flavours. The grapes were specially selected from vineyards located in the cool wine growing areas and subsequently prepared reductively, resulting in a well balanced wine displaying rather intense herbaceous flavours, complemented by subtle gooseberry and tropical notes. This wine is a perfect companion to rich seafood and creamy fish dishes, chicken, veal, asparagus or any generous white foods.
