in the vineyard : Planted on our more fertile alluvial vlei soils on the banks of the Eerste River, these vines grow well. To restrict yield and promote light penetration for better colour, we practise an extensive summer pruning programme. The vines are eleven years old and require supplementary irrigation when necessary.
