Colour: Intense ruby red with a lively edge.
Nose: Forthcoming, juicy, clean fruits with an explosion of mint, layered with plum and red berry tones. Hints of cocoa, chocolate and vanilla.
Palate: Soft, juicy, strawberry and plum fruits with hints of black cherries. Textured, lively mouthfeel, yet smooth, soft tannins. Long, memorable finish with some spice and subtle minerality tones.

in the vineyard : Planted on alluvial soils along the Eerste River, these vines grow well. They are trellised on a four wire Perold trellis system and are pruned back to two eye spurs. To restrict yield and promote light penetration for better colour, we practise an extensive summer canopy management program.
