Overgaauw Merlot was the first wine of this variety bottled in South Africa. This ruby tinted, rich wine was matured in 2nd fill barrels. A soft structured wood matured red wine with strawberry/raspberry characters with a rich fruity, succulent palet complementing the wine. With bottle maturation its velvety character will improve even further. Bottled in September 1999.
